The City of Austin is prepared to welcome back an in-person Spring Festival Season, which will kickoff on Friday with the start of this year’s South by Southwest, which will also mark the first time since 2019 the festival was held with people in attendance. It was canceled in 2020 and all-virtual in 2021.
“We are thrilled to be here in person,” said Austin Center for Events Consumer Services Manager, Brydan Summers. “We look forward to a safe and successful Spring Festival Season.”
Multiple city departments will coordinate over the two weeks of the festival to address issues such as COVID-19, traffic and mobility, and public safety.
