WCRAS Seeking Homes for 19 Animals Following Court Ruling

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is placing the last of 41 dogs and cats up for adoption that it received from a single location last month up. After many of the dogs were reclaimed by their owners, there are now 17 dogs and 2 cats available for adoption of the initial group of 41.

“The shelter is hopeful that the community support will continue with the adoption of the 17 dogs from this case currently in the shelter,” officials said.  “If the community helps to get them adopted quickly, then the shelter will clear out an entire adoption room. This would be an astounding accomplishment for a shelter that is currently over capacity with medium to large dogs.”

To help find speedy homes for the dogs and cats, the shelter is offering “Name Your Price” adoptions for all medium-to-large adult dogs and cats when you schedule an appointment.  All adopted dogs and cats will receive a full series of vaccinations, registered microchips, and will be spayed or neutered.

You can see all of the adoptable pets at wilcopets.org, then email adoption@wilco.org to get started.
