The Williamson County Parks Department has contracted with a commercial tree care company who on Monday began removing tree and limb hazards on county parks and trails in an effort to continue cleaning up from Winter Storm Mara.
The work is beginning at Twin Lakes Park and will continue eastward on the Brushy Creek Regional Trail towards Cedar Park and Round Rock, the county said. Work will also occur at Champion Park, Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, and Berry Springs Park and Preserve.
Clean-up is expected to continuer over the next several weeks, generally between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work may require closure of sections of trail or areas of the parks for public safety.
