Another person has been found in Lady Bird Lake.
On Saturday, April 1, 2023, officers with the Austin Police Department discovered the body of a man near 10 Rainey Street.
Investigators later identified him Jonathan Honey, 33, who was reported missing to police just one day earlier.
The cause of Honey’s death remains under investigation.
Calls for safety improvements on the trail along Lady Bird Lake have grown in the wake of the death of Jason John, who disappeared on February 5 after leaving Rainey Street, and was discovered in the water more than a week later.
