The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a grizzly discovery made on some private property in Kyle.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the 400 block of Running Bull Lane on July 10 for a report of a possible deceased person. Deputies were met by the property owner who led them to burnt human remains.
An autopsy was conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office. The victim has been identified as Valentine Castro, who was just over a week away from his 21st birthday.
The results of the autopsy are still pending.
Detectives are asking the public to come forward with any possible information about Castro’s death. No other information surrounding the circumstances of Castro’s death is available at this time.
