The Downtown Austin Alliance hosted a panel discussion on Tuesday with leaders from Austin Transit Partnership about the proposed Austin Light Rail, with a specific focus on downtown.
Attendees heard various ways the Austin Transit Partnership claims to be working toward to designing and building Austin Light Rail to enhance mobility through downtown, and create community connection. Additionally, they heard from ATP’s leaders about how they are prioritizing the values and needs of the community by centering light rail design in the user experience that puts people first.
This is the second event that is part of ‘Issues & Eggs,’ a series of breakfast events that focuses on perspectives, challenges, and unique opportunities that downtown faces. In the first event of 2023, guests participated in conversations about unsheltered homelessness.
