Cedar Park police on Friday arrested a student at Cedar Park Middle School in connection to an alleged school threat.
The Cedar Park Police Department had been investigating the origins of a separate reported threat when a new report was discovered. Detectives were able to locate the origin of the newest incident and officers made an on-site arrest this morning.
According to CPPD, there is no credible threat to Cedar Park Middle School and this specific incident was a “hoax.”
As with other departments throughout the state and region, the Cedar Park Police Department has investigated several “hoax” threats to local schools since the school year began.
