Many of you fondly remember Sergeant Sam Cox from his many years hosting the Newsradio KLBJ morning show with Mark, Ed and Sgt. Sam. But you may not know that Sgt. Sam was dedicated to public service throughout his amazing career.
Sgt. Sam worked for Austin Energy before joining the Austin Police Department where he served the public for over 25 years and became President of the Austin Police Association.
Sgt. Sam was also instrumental in creating the TexDot courtesy patrols that provide much needed roadside assistance to Austin motorists.
Blessed with an excellent singing voice, Sgt. Sam also performed in the church choir where he expressed his deep faith in Jesus Christ.

Funeral Details
The funeral for Sgt. Sam Cox will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at the Church at Horeshoe Bay. 600 Hi Ridge Rd. Horeshoe Bay, Tx 78657
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. The service begins at 11 a.m.
Burial: Smithwick Cemetery. Smithwick, Texas
