Austin Mayor Kirk Watson says that other cities are looking at Austin as a good example of how to make housing affordable, Texas Rep. Dade Phelan has filed legislation that would require an approved government disclaimer to distribute any media that’s been altered and the Texas House is rolling out it’s $1 billion school voucher plan today.

State lawmakers in the Texas House debated late into the night the proposed school voucher plan that was passed by the Senate and emotional testimony about the recent murder of Jamie White as well as a response from Travis County D.A. Jose Garza.

State lawmakers are trying to put guardrails on the use of A.I. and deepfake images, an AISD elementary school teacher is alleged to have been found in possession of child pornography and APD has opened Sixth Street to traffic during SXSW.
