More construction headaches await drivers on I-35 in South Austin Wednesday and Thursday night. TxDOT’s Diann Hodges says crews will shut down southbound lanes at Stassney.
“Starting tonight at 11 PM and tomorrow night at 11 PM the southbound lanes of I-35 near Stassney Lane will be closed to traffic. We will be detouring traffic to the frontage road in order to set beams for the new Stassney Lane bridge.” Hodges says east-west traffic at Stassney and I-35 is being diverted to William Cannon or Ben White and that “Any travelers in the area from 11 PM to 5 AM should expect some delays when they’re heading southbound on I-35.”
The entire project is expected to be completed in 2020.
