Its no secret Austin attracts business, but a recent Cushman & Wakefield report shows it’s very attractive to San Francisco bay area tech companies.
The report shows more than 65 percent of Bay Area tech companies have been expanding across the US, and Austin ranks 1st in terms of square feet bought or leased by those firms. Cushman Wakefield researcher Jeff Graves says companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon all have a big presence in Austin.
At 6.1 Million Square Feet, Austin makes up for more than 20% of the office space bay area companies have been filling nationwide.
