The typical high speeds you’re used to on SH 130 are coming down for awhile to allow crews to begin work on the next phase of the road’s expansion.
The speed limit between Cameron Road and SH 45 North has been lowered to 70 miles-per-hour. According to TxDOT, the expansion will take about two years to complete, and the speed limit is expected to remain at 70 until crews are done.
The overall price tag for the SH 130 expansion of this next phase of SH 130 is $36.7-million.
