As caches of untested sex assault evidence kits get cleared out across the country, a sticky question is how to best notify victims.
Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas researchers have come up with the first Notification for Victims of Assault or NoVA guide for cops and communities. Professor Noel Busch-Armendariz says it’s designed to help victims not get re-traumatized
She says many sex assault victims have moved on and may not have told anyone about their victimization.
