It’s a move that’s expected to help keep hundreds of jobs in the area.
The Austin City Council has approved a resolution that designates Dell as an enterprise zone under a state-run program. Dell says it will invest the money over the next five years. Along with saving 500 jobs, 40 additional full-time positions will be made available.
Governor Greg Abbott still has to give the final approval.

Police say the man was shirtless and chasing the jogger when officers arrived.
Marcos Villalobos reportedly demanded the jogger leave “his” area, and chased the man with that knife when he didn’t leave quickly enough.
Villalobos is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
