Hispanic population growth continues to be high in Texas

Hispanics could be the largest single group in Texas by 2021. State demographer Lloyd Potter says Hispanic population growth continues to far outpace the population growth of other groups. He says Anglo birth rates are below replacement levels and that the Hispanic population is generally younger and have more people of child-bearing age.
