Austin Police want to know who’s hurting ducks at a Northwest Austin office pond.
A woman named Tracy Su tells the Statesman she regularly visits the ducks at the pond at the Arboretum but this morning she noticed a duck by itself with blood on its throat. She looked closer and saw an arrow had been shot through it and immediately called Police. It was then she noticed another duck nearby that was killed. She saw open flesh wounds and a bloodied log. Animal Cruelty officers are investigating but so far they don’t have any suspects. Meanwhile the duck that was shot with the arrow is recovering at Austin Wildlife Rescue.
