Iran’s foreign ministry has warned the United States over violating Iranian airspace after The Revolutionary Guard shot down a U.S drone earlier in the day.
A ministry spokesman, Abbas Mousavi, is quoted by the semi-official Tasnim news agency as saying Iran cannot condone the “illegal trespassing and invading of the country’s skies by any kind of foreign flying object.”

Today Austin City Council will vote on an ordinance which would change both the city’s ban on sitting, lying, or camping in public spaces, in addition to changing the city’s ban on panhandling.
Council members behind this resolution believe it will reduce criminal charges people receive just for being homeless — and in turn make it easier for those people to get housing and jobs.
Proponents of these changes also believe it will help the city find better ways for police to handle non-threatening behavior from homeless people.

Most road rage incidents in Austin this year have involved guns, police say
In these cases, suspects are charged with aggravated assault – a felony that can carry up to 20 years in prison – instead of reckless driving.
The Austin Police Department is bringing attention to what it considers a public safety issue concerning drivers.
Since January 2019, there have been at least 45 road rage incidents on Austin roads involving aggravated assault.
Out of those 45 incidents, police have made nine arrests, according to Detective Robert Snider.

Today, the city council will likely vote to add 400 Lake Austin properties to the tax roll which have been exempt from property taxes for generations.
But according to a Statesman analysis of police response times, it took officers nearly twice as long to respond last year than in other areas.
That supports the arguments made by property owners who say they do not receive the same level of service, and thus should not be taxed in the same way as the rest of Austin.

A poll shows most Americans aren’t that keen on returning to the moon or even going to Mars.
The poll by The Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that most Americans prefer that the space program focuses on potential asteroid impacts and scientific research into the cosmos.
Only 1 in 4 thinks exploring the moon or Mars should be among the space program’s highest priorities. Astronauts first reached the moon 50 years ago this summer.
