Austin ISD invites families to review the district’s revised Human Sexuality and Responsibility lessons and resources.
The materials will be available 6-7:30 p.m. May 21 at Austin High School, 1715 Cesar Chavez St., to share your feedback in person via two online surveys.
Child care, light refreshments and Spanish interpretation will be available.
AISD is proposing to use the Get Real lessons for grades 6-8, and staff will write lessons for grades 3-5.
Additionally, lessons also will be on display 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. May 20-24 at the AISD Science and Health Resource Center, 305 N. Bluff Drive, 78745. Spanish interpreters will be available 9 a.m.-noon May 22.
As a reminder, families may opt their students out of any lessons whose topics they prefer to cover at home.
Trustees will vote on the revised curriculum at the June 17 regular meeting.
