- Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) board members unanimously approved a study that would establish a corridor linking South Austin to ABIA
- CAMPO is looking into the Bergstrom Spur, an abandoned rail corridor that runs roughly parallel Highway 290 and is approximately 6 miles long which would link South Austin to ABIA
- The CAMPO board previously approved a $280,000 grant to fund the study in a May 2018 meeting
- CAMPO expects the study to take approximately nine months to complete
