Traffic on the RM 620 bridge near Mansfield Dam is expected to be stopped intermittently between 9:00 a.m. and noon on Monday as work on an LCRA transmission line upgrade moves forward.
Traffic on the bridge will be stopped in both directions for no more than 15 minutes at a time during that three-hour period.
During the traffic stops, multiple pieces of equipment, including a helicopter, will be used to remove old fiber from the transmission line. Removal of the fiber is one of the final steps in the project to upgrade and storm harden the transmission line between LCRA’s Marshall Ford Substation and Austin Energy’s Lakeway Tap.
