Religious Liberty legislation killed in the House quickly resurfaces in the Senate

Less than a week after the Texas House LGBTQ Caucus was able to kill religious liberty legislation it quickly reemerged in the Texas Senate.

State Senator Bryan Hughes authored Senate Bill 1978, a companion to the House bill. The bill specifically protects those who oppose gay marriage.

LGBTQ rights groups oppose the bill calling it a license to discriminate.

Rabbi Kelly Levi calls the Religious Liberty bills proposed this session anti-religious and inhumane.
