At many bars and restaurants in Central Texas and throughout the state, signs tell motorcyclists who wear their club colors and vests known as “cuts” that they are not allowed in unless they remove them. Lora Dame with the Texas Council of Clubs and Independents is fighting against this profiling of bikers, who are not gang members.
A Facebook post by a customer of Sugar Daddys In Round Rock said he was asked to leave because he was wearing his club colors and cut, which is a motorcycle club vest. Lora Dame calls this a clear-cut case of profiling
Neither Round Rock Police nor Williamson County Sheriffs have instructed any bars or restaurants to post such signs which Dame said are all over Texas.
Many of the clubs do charitable work.
