There has been a rash of rescue calls to Austin/Travis County EMS.
In the last seven days there have been ten land rescue incidents, six of those since Friday. These calls are for things like lost, injured and sick hikers. Austin/Travis County EMS is reminding people to watch the weather, bring water and makes sure you have any meds you need, like an inhaler for example. Other tips include knowing where you are at all times and keeping your phone charged and wearing the right kind of footwear.
