Skimmers were found today in Austin and Bastrop.
The Texas Department of Agriculture say a credit card skimmer was found on pump number 13 at the 7-11 on I-35 and Wells Branch Parkway. The other was found on pump number five at Major Brand Gasoline on Hwy 71 west in Bastrop. Authorities say always get and save a receipt if you buy gas with a credit card and use the pump closest to the storefront in sight of clerks. You can also check the security tape is intact and check for unusual bluetooth IDs which could indicate the presence of skimmers.
