Lake Travis ISD shifts attendance zones again

The Lake Travis school district is having to redraw its attendance zones again.

The redrawing of middle school zones will correspond with the opening of Bee Cave Middle School later this year, and elementary zones will correspond with the opening of elementary number seven next year.  Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster says he knows this is frustrating to parents, but it’s a necessary byproduct of rapid growth.

With 25-30-percent of LT’s attendance zones still undeveloped, Lancaster says the boundary changes will continue to be an evolutionary process for probably the next 20 years.
