During Austin Mayor Steve Adler’s State of the City address yesterday, he bragged on the economic might of the city and said it’s been great for workers and job-seekers here.
Adler touted the Austin unemployment rate as being lower than than the State of Texas as a whole.
Adler also said that success is threatened to be undermined by various pieces of legislation being considered at the State Capitol.
Austin’s rep as an innovative tech hub, according to Adler, has attracted big names to the area like GM, Google, Apple and Amazon to expand here.
