Texas Capital Building

$248 billion dollars in spending is approved by the Texas state Senate.  Senator Jane Nelson says it includes money to help lower property taxes in school districts.
“It sets aside $9-billion dollars to address the three key issues of session; property tax relief, teacher pay, and state aid to our school districts.” She continued, “It includes $4-billion to give every classroom teacher and librarian an across the board pay raise. “The raises are set at $5,000.00.
The Senate budget must be reconciled with the House budget.
