With eight cases of measles reported in Texas, including one in nearby Bell County, Austin Travis County health officials are making sure they’re prepared for any cases that come. Austin Public Health Chief Epidemiologist Janet Pichette says they have all the tools and personnel they need.
Pichette says they’re also prepared should an outbreak occur.
