Austin drivers spent more than 100 hours last year stuck in traffic

New numbers from transportation data company INRIX show traffic remains an immense burden on Austin drivers.  The annual traffic report lists Austin as the 14th most-congested city in the nation, and 84th in the world.

Former Austin City Council member Ellen Troxclair said that’s the kind of data that bolsters the city’s push for more public transportation.

The study says Austin drivers spent 104 hours in traffic last year, costing them an average of $1400.
