Round Rock’s water treatment plant is dealing with a massive influx of zebra mussels that are beginning to cause the city a lot of headaches and costing a lot of money. Plant supervisor Brandon Pritchett tells Fox 7 the mussels have spread at a very fast pace.
It’s a problem also impacting Leander and Cedar Park. Back in August, the three cities combined their funds to spend more than $1.5-million to stem the tide of the invasive mussels.
