All seven candidates seeking to be Austin’s next mayor joined together at the KLRU studios. Mayor Adler claims that under his leadership in four years, the city has progressed farther than ever before.
But candidates like former council member Laura Morrison chided Adler for striking a massive deal for a soccer stadium in North Austin. OThers, like Gus Pena, say Adler is not being honest when he claims to have put an end to veteran homelessness. Mobility and the ever-rising cost of living were also issues Adler had to defend against his challengers.
