2nd UPDATE: Austin ISD Police have canceled class for Friday (Dec. 14th) at Bowie High School as they continue to investigate the case of destructive vandalism. The school reports more than 75 glass doors and windows were destroyed.

UPDATE: AISD Chief of Police Ashley Gonzalez says in a tweet that all classes and events have been canceled for Thursday at Bowie High School. Police, teachers, and staff are working to make sure the campus is “safe and operational” for all students.

The Austin Independent School District has sent word out to parents Thursday morning letting them know that classes at Bowie High School have been delayed by two hours.
According to AISD Chief of Police Ashley Gonzalez, the campus suffered “considerable” property damage overnight. Numerous windows were reportedly broken.
AISD police are investigating this incident as a criminal act.
No other campuses have been affected.
