Victims of price gouging from of Hurricane Harvey got good news today

Help is on the way for some Texans who were the victims of price gouging in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. They’re getting a refund.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Consumer Protection Division finalized a settlement with the owner of two DFW area gas stations accused of price gouging. Paxton spokesman Marc Rylander said it took place during the state of disaster declared for Hurricane Harvey.

Bains Brothers LLC agreed to refund those who paid up to $6.99 per gallon for unleaded gasoline on August 31, 2017
