Lyft is launching its own line of electric scooters in Austin. The ridesharing company is pumping 500 more of the rentable scooters onto the streets, however Lyft said it plans to work with the City of Austin to put up docking stations that won’t leave their scooters scattered around the sidewalks.
Just last week, Lime was penalized for having too many scooters in downtown and ordered to take 1000 off the street.
