On October 1, 2018, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s (PARD) 2019 Pool Entry Fee Schedule will go into effect.

When City Council approved the adoption of the Aquatic Master Plan in 2018, PARD was directed to explore scenarios where combined pool fee funds could be used for pool maintenance and operations.

The FY 2019 budget increases pool entry fees, excluding season passes. The additional revenue will increase the Aquatic Maintenance General Fund by an estimated $1.1 million. These funds will be used toward general maintenance, operations, repairs, and upgrades to existing aquatic facilities.

When the changes take effect, adults who live in Austin will be charged $5 for entry, up $2 from the previous year.  Senior citizens and children in Austin will pay $2, and juniors will pay $3.

Non-residents of Austin will pay slightly higher entry fees: $9 for adults, $5 for seniors and juniors, and $4 for children.
