The green community in East Austin, Whisper Valley had access to clean water during the boil water notice time period through hydro panels. Those take moisture from the air to provide clean drinking water.
The company’s Katlyn Fitzgerald says the hydro panel array can generate 3-5 liters of water a day. She says that was enough for the community and they even had some left over to share with neighbors.
