While a trade deal with Mexico is seen as good for Texas, experts say it comes with a cost. The president this week announcing the end of NAFTA, and a trade deal with just Mexico. And while that’s great for Texas, Vance Ginn with the Texas Public Policy Foundation says there is a provision that increases the portion of new cars that will be made in high-wage factories. Because of those extra costs, he says will be passed on. With that said, Ginn does feel this deal is going to help spark the state’s economy.
