An alleged serial package thief is off the streets of Williamson County.
Sheriff Robert Chody said an arrest was made this weekend (Sunday Nov. 11th) of the person seen on home surveillance cameras stealing packages from the front porch of homes, sometimes replacing them with empty boxes and other times just walking away with them. Chody added it’s a good reason to register your home cameras with the county’s website. The program lets law enforcement know that there is an extra pair of eyes on the streets and in the case of a crime, can be used in the investigation.
Among the stolen items, Chody continued, were some serious things, including weapons and guns. The still-unidentified person is accused of hitting homes in Teravista and other areas outside of the county as well.
