Governor Abbott calls for an investigation into possible illegal voting in Travis County:
The group ‘Project Veritas’ has released video of an undercover journalist posing as the girlfriend of a DACA recipient, also known as a Dreamer. In the video, the woman tells a worker at a Travis County poll her boyfriend isn’t in the country legally, but does have a drivers license and was given the go ahead by election workers.
One worker said there were numerous DACA recipients who had cast their votes, most of which came through early voting. Governor Abbott wants this investigated and while admitting he can’t verify its authenticity, he says if it is proven, any wrongdoer will be prosecuted.
