Gov. Abbot held a “Texas-Sized Victory Party,” at the Brazos Hall in Downtown Austin.
Lt. Governor Dan Patrick wins re-election
Patickheld the majority ofearly votes with more than 50{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} while his democratic challenger Mike Collier trailed by three. But by the night’s end, Patrick broke away with a 4.5{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} spread.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Hold onto his seat
Incumbent Ken Paxton fended off Austin area lawyer Justin Nelson. Paxton helld more than 50{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} of the early votes and that lead increased to 51{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} at the end of the day. This despite Paxton’s legal troubles dealing with securities fraud charges.
