The Austin Downtown Alliance has released its long term plan to have a five mile greenbelt surround the downtown business district. Alliance CEO Dewitt Peart says they asked thousands of Austinites what they wanted out of downtown. He says a theme that came across was that downtown should be a welcoming place for everyone.
Peart says the city has an opportunity connect existing parks in downtown.
