A political action group is backing a petition drive to audit the City of Austin. The founder of the Travis County Taxpayers Union and former Austin Councilmember Don Zimmerman says a former City Hall insider is starting the drive.
Zimmerman says the city has wasted tens of millions of dollars on projects like the Central Library, and the Waller Creek tunnel as examples of incompetence, waste and possibly fraud.
