If you’re driving in San Marcos next Tuesday you might see school zone signs flashing. That’s just for city crews to test the lights. No school zone speed limits will be enforced then. School starts in San Marcos August 27 and signs will be activated again then.
Crews will also repaint crosswalks and stop bars in school areas.
