Meechaiel Criner, the man accused of killing UT dance student Haruka Weiser in 2016, will go on trial next month, but today his lawyers are arguing that all DNA evidence against him should be thrown out because of flawed testing.

Judge David Wahlberg heard from the state on Monday and he will also hear from Criner’s defense later today, who is challenging this technique and the evidence in this case.

Judge Walhberg stated that the only real thing he knows about DNA is how to spell it.
