You may have noticed some new construction that’s up and running at Slaughter Lane and Mopac. Work is being be done to create one of the diverging diamond intersection overpasses. TxDOT says it expects the work to last for the next six months and that means you’ll be dealing with closures and delays throughout that time.
A diverging diamond interchange is supposed to make turning left easy and safe by moving traffic from the right side of the road to the left for turns on to the interstate.
