Appeals court will soon rule over whether guns can be allowed on UT campus classrooms

Arguing that fear alone is not a valid reason to prevent students from carrying guns in classrooms at UT, Assistant Solicitor General Jason Lafond believes three professors seeking to change the campus carry law have no legal grounds for their argument, Lafond said that all they have alleged so far is fear.

He also says that there has never been a precedent set that proves debate over controversial topics in a classroom has ever been affected by students carrying guns on at a school where campus carry is legal.
