NASA’s first attempt to launch astronauts into space since the agency’s space shuttles were retired 9 years ago, did not even get off the ground. Weather conditions forced officials to scrub the launch. NASA tweets they’ll try again Saturday afternoon.
The launch was going to be another US first, the use of a private company’s space platform to take NASA astronauts to the international space station.
"We are not going to launch today."
Due to the weather conditions, the launch is scrubbing. Our next opportunity will be Saturday, May 30 at 3:22pm ET. Live #LaunchAmerica coverage will begin at 11am ET. pic.twitter.com/c7R1AmLLYh
