Maintenance work on the Union Pacific line is set to block off the road crossing at Buda’s Main Street and Garison Road intersection Thursday, June 11 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Rail road workers will be inspecting and replacing railroad ties and rails. The company said, “the work plays a major role in derailment prevention and helps ensure the safety of train crews and the community.”
Union Pacific says traffic will be rerouted to Sequoyah Street. Railroad Street and Cedar Street will remain open to local traffic only.
