Williamson County’s “Wilco Forward Small Business Grant Program” has issued more than $33.2-million out of the $35-million allocated to assist local small businesses affected by COVID-19.
The Williamson County Auditor’s Office has approved 3,509 applications as of Monday, June 29. More than 100 applications are still pending, according to the City Auditor’s Office. According to the county, approximately 25 new applications were receied each day dating back to the program’s inception on May 6. The average payout has been just under $10,000.
The application process came to a close at midnight on Wednesday. Similarly, the final day to apply for the U.S. Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program has also now passed.
