Austin City Council approves a series of funding grants for Austin’s Police Department.
One grant will see more than $150,000 fund improvements to APDs Air unit, which helps in search and rescue missions and is one of the only air assets in the region.
Another worth $310,000 is funding rifle resistant Body Armor purchases for 400 officers.
